Nozzle-Jet-Impingement Cooling Technology

Macro-Scale Jets vs. Micro-Orifice Plates

Unlike micro-orifice cooling systems operating at 10–100 µm aperture scales, MezzoFluidics utilizes macro-scale nozzles in the 1500–3000 µm range. This shifts the system into a low-loss flow regime, dramatically reducing required inlet pressure while maintaining high heat transfer efficiency.

Low-Pressure Operation and Syphon Effect

The architecture enables ultra-low pressure operation near ~1 psi inlet with potential negative pressure at exit through controlled syphon effects. Lower pump power reduces energy consumption and system stress compared to high-pressure microchannel systems.

Guided Exit Flow and Non-Mixing Geometry

Channelized exterior nozzle walls isolate incoming jets from outgoing effluent, preserving boundary-layer reset and preventing premature thermal gradient collapse.

Performance and Scalability

Demonstrated thermal resistance below 0.008°C/W with scalability beyond 3.5kW. Suitable for direct GPU/HBM interfaces and advanced 2.5D/3D chip-on-chip stacking.
